When Donald Trump travels to New York on Monday, there will be no primary TV pool, after major networks declined to replace CNN in the regular rotation after it was banned from White House and other coverage of the president.

The move was an escalation of President Trump’s showdown with the White House press corps after he moved to bar journalists from CNN, MS NOW and Politico.

CNN, along with MS NOW and Politico, filed a lawsuit over the ban, which the president defended as "an assault on the FAKE NEWS."
